Jabbawockeez are not the only masked men

The Jabbawockeez

Expression Crew

When thinking about dancing and putting masks on the first thing that comes to mind are the season 1 winners of Randy Jackson presents America's best Dance Crew winners the Jabbawockeez. However, the masked vigilantes are not the pioneers of that style. In 2002, something big happened in the dance world and specifically the bboy world, and that was the introduction of Expression Crew to the rest of the world. The crazy Korean bboys appeared in Battle of the Year (BOTY) in Germany and wiped out all competition part of their show was actually carried out with masks (surprise!). Here is a clip:

Not only that a couple of years later they came with a magnificent show called "The Marionnette Show", here is a compilation of this dance from different places they performed it in:

Nevertheless, I love the Jabbawokeez and their creativity. And unlike them Expression Crew does not always dance with masks on.

Trivia; The music that Expression Crew uses for thei marionnette show is actually from the 2001 romantic-comedy French movie "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain", here is a trailer of the movie with the music :)
